Biography

Gonul Sengul is a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Ozyegin University. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, where her dissertation explored heterogeneity in labor markets. Dr. Sengul's research interests lie in macroeconomics and labor economics, with a focus on female employment, service sector dynamics, structural transformation, and labor market policies. Prior to joining Ozyegin University, she has served as an Economist at the Central Bank of Turkey and as a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute.
