I started at Ozyegin University Faculty of Business in September 2023 as an Assistant Professor. I received my PhD from Koç University in 2022 in the field of Quantitative Methods in Finance. Before my PhD studies, I had a long tenure in the private sector. After working as a software engineer for 3 years in the defense industry, I switched to the finance sector and worked 17 years in investment banking as an analyst and senior VP. Equity research, institutional sales and portfolio management have been the primary areas where I gained significant experience. Prior to my business life, I received my high school diploma from Ankara Fen Lisesi, my BS and MS degrees in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University and Bilkent University respectively, and my MBA from Duke University in the USA through a full scholarship from Turkish Education Foundation.
