Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sendi Yakuppur was born in Istanbul in 1984. She completed her primary education at Lütfi Banat Primary School and her secondary education at Notre Dame de Sion French High School. She received her LL.B. degree from Koç University Faculty of Law in 2007.
She completed her LL.M. in Private Law at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences (2007–2009) and earned her Ph.D. in December 2013 with a dissertation entitled “The Principle of Reliance on the Land Registry.”
Between 2007 and 2008, she practiced law as a member of the Istanbul Bar Association, and from 2008 to 2014 she worked as a Research Assistant in Civil Law at Koç University Faculty of Law. Since January 2014, she has been a member of Özyeğin University Faculty of Law. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2023 and was appointed to the Associate Professorship position at Özyeğin University in 2024, where she also began serving as Vice Dean.
Her research focuses on civil law, with notable publications including The Principle of Reliance on the Land Registry (2016), Keeping Official Accounts and Acceptance of Inheritance Based on the Maintained Accounts (2022), and The Contractor’s Obligation to Deliver the Work and Breach of Delivery Obligation (2009).
